Payments of $1000 per adult and $400 per child are now available for those worst hit by bushfire in Wingecarribee Shire.
"This is for people whose home has been severely damaged or destroyed, who've been seriously injured or who've lost a family member," Minister for Natural Disaster and Emergency Management David Littleproud said.
"We're also making the Disaster Recovery Allowance available to people who have lost their income because of the bushfires."
The payments give eligible people up to 13 weeks of income support and is on top of the assistance provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding.
