But, a large accumulation of small hail just after 4pm wreaked havoc with some homes in the village - prompting three calls for assistance to the State Emergency Service (SES) for roof damage.
NSW SES duty operations officer Neil Wiblin said the Rural Fire Service (RFS) were also called to hose away the accumulated hail, which had blocked gutters and caused water to leak into houses.
Mr Wiblin said 10 personnel were on the scene and it was hoped the jobs would be completed on Sunday night

Readers were quick to share their images with The Daily Advertiser's Facebook page, with residents in Cartwrights Hill and Forest Hill saying they copped some of the white stuff.
Most of Central Wagga appeared to have missed out.
