To pay their respects to a man “who would give you the shirt off his back”, the Riverina Thrashers club have organised Cruise 4 Clint, a chance for car fans to remember a mate by doing what he would have loved best – going for a drive.
More than 200 enthusiasts gathered on Sunday to take a drive past the former Rowley’s Automotive site to pay their respects before heading out to the Collingullie pub, where there was a host of different events including a jumping castle, face painting and a band.
Everyone who takes part in a Cruise 4 Clint pays a $10 entry fee, which is donated to charity.
About $4480 was raised for going to Josh “Chooka” Hanlon, a 20-year-old North Wagga footballer and apprentice who is recovering after a Strep A infection saw him become critically ill and have his right hand and lower legs amputated.
