The population of the township may only be 300 but there will be a significant number of Marrar born and bred players in the Bombers' teams to tackle today's first and reserve-grade grand finals.
Brad Langtry, Bryce Graetz, Kerrod Roberts, Jeremy Graetz, Daniel Fox, Brent Carroll and Ben Carroll all began their career at a very early age with Auskick at Langtry Oval.
The start of some very promising careers were captured on camera at a Saturday- morning training session in 1994.
Some 17 years later, seven of the boys will line up on grand final day for Marrar.
Marrar supporter Cathie Fox said it was terrific to see so many local boys take the field today.
"Many players were born and bred in Marrar and are extremely proud of their red-and-black heritage," Fox said.
"The boys have remained good mates and some have played at other clubs but have all returned to the Marrar Football Club."
This group, along with other locals Ben Langtry, Damien McKelvie, Shane Boettcher, Josh Hagar and Sam Turner, plus many others with strong Marrar family ties, will all form heavy Marrar influence.
It will also be a family affair with almost all of their fathers and grandfathers having played in the red and black, making it a very proud and many-generational club.
